Well dead celebrities have two types of assets, 1. Tangible assets like-cars, bank accounts, homes, jets etc and 2. Intangible assets like- copyrights, trademarks etc.
For the heirs of musical stars, this is where the big money usually is. It's their songs: sold on iTunes, played in the Bars and used in the ads. Plus, the celebrity's name and image put on products or even back on the stage as a Hologram, like Michael Jackson, 2Pac etc.
