Top 10 Internet Hoax of 2016 Everyone Fell For! Part 2

2016 has been a great year so far with lots of ups & downs and lots of things happening around the World. This year we witnessed so many viral posts, News, tweets that we almost believed, but it turned out to be Fake. Here is Part 2 of Top 10 Internet HOAX. Enjoy

1. Win a Toyota 4Runner/Highlander 2016 Facebook post.

This post appeared on August 2016 claiming to give away TOYOTA  4Runner/Highlander for liking and sharing their post. It is luring Face book users into following the page with a fake prize as bait. There really are no prizes on offer. It's a Scam, a HOAX.

2. Celebrity Death Post.

Like Every year this year also we came across a lot of Celebrity Death news. Many were shocked to hear the news of death of their favorite celebrity. But Google helped us confirming the news to be fake. This year’s list includes: Rowan Atkinson, Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Nicholas Cage and more.

 3. Facebook to Charge Users.

A message started spreading across Facebook that claims “tomorrow morning” users will be invited to enter their payment information since Facebook have decided to charge a fee appeared on June 2016. Many people believed it and started to copy paste and share on their wall. However this also a Hoax.

 4. Typing ATM pin in reverse will call the police.

Well, this type of post has been doing rounds for a long time all over the social media. The post read like this:
"WHEN A THIEF FORCES U 2 TAKE MONEY FROM D ATM, DO NOT ARGUE OR RESIST, U MIGHT NOT KNOW WHAT HE OR SHE MIGHT DO 2 U.
WHAT U SHOULD DO IS 2 PUNCH UR PIN IN D REVERSE,
Ex. IF UR PIN IS 1254, SHOULD PUNCH 4521.
D MOMENT U PUNCH IN D REVERSE, D MONEY WILL COME OUT BUT WILL BE STUCK INTO D MACHINE HALF WAY OUT AND IT WILL ALERT POLICE WITHOUT D NOTICE OF D THIEF.
EVERY ATM HAS IT, ITS SPECIALLY MADE 2 SIGNIFY DANGER & HELP."
This hoax is demonstrably untrue since anyone can (and often do) set their PIN number to a palindrome, which is a number that reads the same forward as it does in reverse, such as 1551. For such a reverse-PIN system to be implemented, palindrome PIN numbers would first have to be banned, which of course they’re not.

 5. Durex releasing Eggplant Flavored Condom.

This recent Hoax made everyone wonder regarding the flavor selection by the company. However it’s a hoax. Yes Durex did tweet the announcement, but in reality it is part of a campaign stunt by Durex to introduce a condom emoji on social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp and on smartphones, to help younger people discuss safe sex.
